Howdy!

My name is Morgan and through my business, Dry Dock Goods, I am on a quest to make everyday objects a lot more fun.

Life is too precious to spend it with mass produced crap.

A Little About Me:

I am a San Juan Islands native, ecologist, gardener, natural world enthusiast, and part time small cabin builder. When I am not toiling over at Dry Dock Goods, I work as a real estate broker in Skagit and San Juan county. I live part time between our home in Burlington, and our home in progress on Decatur Island with my partner, two dogs (Luda and Merle), and a coop of chickens.

I found pottery in 2018 after I had dabbled for years with other art mediums. I started out on the wheel but soon realized that hand building was where my passion lies. Slab work allows me to imprint and layer deisgn effects that I feel capture the unique flavor of NW Washington. Many of my designs tell the story of my endless trips on our local waterways, or hours spent wandering our lush forests.

My botanical dyeing adventure started in 2021. For me, it appeals to my trained botany background as well as my undying love for silk and other natural fibers. I find the craft captivating because I can immortalize the feeling of a season, or someone’s favorite flower into a piece that I hope is used every day. I love speaking with people about the plants that they feel a significant attachment to and designing a piece around them.
